F4F Wildcat- Northrop Grumman

The Grumman F4F Wildcat is a World War II US Navy deck fighter built at Grumman's facilities. When the US entered the war in 1941, Wildcats were the US Navy's primary deck fighters, and gradually displaced older machines from base squadrons. Wildcats provided the only fighter protection for the US fleet and airborne aviation. In the Pacific, the Wildcat's main adversary was the Japanese Navy's Mitsubishi A6M fighters popularly known as the 'Zero'.

The aircraft developed by COBI was given the historical colours of the pilot who became the first fighter ace of the US Navy! Particularly noteworthy are such historical details as the emblem with Felix the cat and the number of kills placed by the cockpit.

Reproduced at a scale of 1:32, the aircraft has been released under licence from the Northrop Grumman aircraft company! It features a movable propeller, ailerons and rotating wheels with rubber tyres. The cabin can be opened to seat a heroic pilot figure at the controls. The aircraft has been covered with high-quality prints that will not wear off even during intensive use. Stickers have been completely dispensed with in this set. The prints reproduce the historical painting and equipment of the aircraft from the Pacific War period.

The set also includes a special stand to make the model more attractive for display and a plaque with the aircraft's name. The aircraft is an excellent addition to the collection and a perfect pairing for the released Mitsubishi A6m2 'ZERO-SEN' kit.
