DoorProtect Plus

The wireless magnetic sensor notifies you of the first signs of intrusion into the room through a door or window. It can even be installed on roof windows that can be left open when leaving the house.

Principle of operation

The device detects the opening of a door or window using a British high-end reed switch, which is acted on by a magnetic field. It can work in the transmitter mode, sending a signal from the wired sensor to the control panel.

Functions

The sensor even protects windows that are open to ventilate the room. The accelerometer detects changes in the vertical angle, impacts or vibrations and sends an alarm to the system control panel.

Installation and assembly

Ready to work right out of the box: the battery is already installed, so there is no need to remove the case. The sensor can be connected to the control panel with one click in the mobile application. Thanks to SmartBrackets, installation is done in just a few minutes.

DoorProtect Plus is a wireless magnetic, shock and tilt sensor. If the standard installation method is used, the device consists of two parts: the left part (sensor) contains the reed switch and the shock and tilt sensor, and the right part is the magnet that is needed for opening detection.

Opening is detected by a reed switch and a magnet built into the sensor. As the magnet approaches or moves away, the reed switch changes the state of the contacts and notifies of opening/closing. The sensor is equipped with one small and one large magnet. The small magnet works up to 1 cm from the reed switch, and the large one up to 2 cm. If it is not necessary to detect the opening of a door or window, a sensor without a magnet can be installed.

The shock sensor detects attempts to break a window or kick in the door and reacts to vibrations when trying to break a lock or door.

The tilt sensor detects the deviation of the device from the vertical axis. Before arming the system, the sensor remembers its initial position and activates when the deviation is greater than 5 degrees. This allows you to protect windows, including roof windows, as well as arm the system when the window is in ventilation mode (remember to deactivate the main sensor in the settings in this case).

All sensors in the sensor work independently of each other. Each sensor sensor can be enabled or disabled in Ajax applications.

When triggered, an armed sensor immediately sends an alarm to the hub, which then activates sirens connected to the system, triggers scenarios, and notifies users and the security agency. All MotionProtect Plus alarms and events are logged to the Ajax event feed.

Users know exactly when and where the system recorded an alarm. Notifications include alarm time, alarm type, hub name (protected object name), device name and virtual room to which the sensor is assigned.

Jeweler radio technology

Jeweler is a wireless protocol that provides fast and reliable two-way communication between the hub and connected devices. The protocol provides instant alerts with a large amount of data: security agencies and users know at a glance which sensor has been triggered, where and when it happened.

Jeweler uses encryption and authentication to protect the system from sabotage. It regularly polls system devices, displaying their status in Ajax applications. Jeweller operates at a distance of up to 1200 m, ensuring reliable protection of facilities and excellent experience for both system users and installers.

Sending events to the monitoring station

The Ajax alarm system can send events and alarms to the Ajax PRO Desktop monitoring application as well as to the Central Monitoring Station (CMS) in SurGard (Contact ID), SIA (DC-09), ADEMCO 685 and other proprietary protocols.
